How ElectMyGov works · Early public test

Know who represents you.
See the source.

ElectMyGov brings every current B.C. MLA and B.C. Member of Parliament into one neutral, source-linked directory. Search topics you care about, identify who represents you, and examine the public information and original evidence for yourself.

Four simple steps

Use the site with confidence

You do not need to understand electoral boundaries or government data systems to get started.

  1. 1

Explore a topic you care about

Search public areas such as education, housing, health or technology. Results show where that topic appears in sourced profile information—not a position, endorsement or rating.

  2. 2

Find the people who represent you

Enter a complete B.C. street address or use your browser location. ElectMyGov uses a precise matched point to show your provincial MLA and federal MP—or a vacancy—together.

  3. 3

Open a profile and check the sources

Review the person’s role, riding, background, priorities and public record, then open the Sources tab to examine the supporting public pages.

  4. 4

    Help improve the record

Suggest a correction when information appears missing or outdated. Every submission is reviewed before public information changes.

Neutral by design

Information, not persuasion

Party affiliation is written as a label. ElectMyGov does not use party colours, scores, endorsements or rankings, and saved profiles do not indicate political support.

Sources and gaps

Known facts stay distinguishable

Official records support identity, office and election information. Representative, caucus or party pages may support biographies or stated priorities. Missing information is labelled instead of inferred.

Privacy

Your address is not stored in our database

Address and location details are used only to complete the lookup request. If you save a profile, only its ElectMyGov profile ID is kept in your browser—not your address, search history or political preference.

Boundary accuracy

A full address gives a safer match

Postal codes can cross districts, so ElectMyGov requires a complete street address or precise browser location and provides official links for confirmation.
